Supply Chain and Pharmacy

  • This week kicks off the bi-weekly ordering cycle for the QHR Health Warehouse. The requisition sheet was sent out Wednesday August 5th. Please make sure your order is submitted by 1pm EST on Friday August 7th.

Clinical Care

  • Did you know that the CDC has a Clinician On-Call Center? It is a hotline with trained CDC clinicians available to answer COVID-19 questions from healthcare personnel. Call 1-800-CDC-Info (800-232-4636) and ask for the Clinician On-Call Center.
  • Healthcare disparity has an impact on the communities we live in, as well as the communities we serve. Whether in large cities, urban areas, or rural communities, everyone can help in the fight against healthcare disparity and help our neighbors attain the highest level of health possible.
  • What does social vulnerability look like in our communities? The CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index site is informative and provides access to training videos, data, tools, white papers, peer-reviewed journal articles; as well as access to the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network. This is valuable information as we look through the lens of healthcare disparity.

Finance/Reimbursement/FEMA

  • Secretary of CMS makes announcement on Paycheck Protection Loans
    • Medicare Administrative Contractors stated PPP loan amounts forgiven must be offset against allowable costs on annual cost report in accordance with CMS Regulations
      • CAHs would have material repayments to CMS on annual cost reports
      • Contrary to Congressional intent in providing PPP Loans
    • CMS Secretary Verma announces intention to reverse this policy
    • Various Congresspersons supporting industry
    • Formal Sub Regulatory Guidance is still pending publication from CMS
